Reissue and remaster of Original LP CS 9106 (released in february 1965). All songs originally released in 1965. People associated with the original issue are Teo Macero, Nat Hentoff and Fred Plaut, others (except the musicians) worked on the reissue. Ron Carter's liner notes were written for the reissue on September 25th, 2004 in New York City. Photographer Francis Wolff is incorrectly credited as Frances Wolf, and is associated with Mosaic records (credited Frances Wolff/Mosaic).

Recorded live at the Philharmonic Hall at the Lincoln Center (New York City) on February 12th, 1964. The Musicians played a benefit concert for voter registration in Mississippi and Louisiana, which was sponsored by the NAACP defense fund, the Congress for racial equality and the Student nonviolent coordinating comitee.

The reissue was mixed and mastered using DSD technology and Sony Music Studios, New York City.
