This CD is part of the "mini LP" series where everything has been faithfully reproduced to mimmick the original LP release, but in a CD format. 'Relics' was among the first to be released this way so it's not quite an exact reproduction.
It does include the original textured album cover (which even manages to match the original paper stock)! It also includes two inserts. The first is a paper gatefold inner sleeve that matches the album's front and back cover. Inside the inner sleeve is a discography list which covers their work right up to PULSE (so it's obviously not JUST like the 1971 version). The second paper insert is in both english and japanese and not only covers their discography. It adds all the lyrics too. The CD itself comes in an anti static "vinyl record" pouch and the whole package comes in a resealable plastic sleeve with an included OBI. (Note: there is an alternative pink OBI as well). Most of the mini LP releases were remastered between 2001 and 2004. However, for some reason, this release is the 1995 master.
