This record combines two dinstinct projects recorded between autumn 1988 & spring 1989. Tracks 1 to 12 comprise the first of these, track 14 the second.

Recorded & mixed: Dys Studio / Fort Collins Colorado
Kit drums recorded: Source & Savour Studios / Oakland California

A period of digital silence (track 13) separates the two distinct Biota projects presented here. "Ghost Shirt" is a remix (with no additional source recording) of "Operator For Cataract" and a subsection of "Shadows Appear To Do." To enable direct comparison, we suggest programming track 14/index 1, track 10/indexes 1-2-3, and track 5/index 2 as a chain, in that order. We are grateful to Michael Gerzon for his ideas concerning the CD medium's potential. (See Rē Records Quarterly Magazine, London, V2N4.)
