This release is a remaster of the original album released in 1970 on Columbia.
The original was recorded at Wally Heider Recording Studio in San Francisco, except track A4, which was recorded at Pacific Recording, San Mateo.
This release was remastered (half-speed production and mastering) by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (Sebastopol, CA) using the GAIN 2 Ultra Analog System. Original stereo master tapes were used.
The 180g Vinyl is specially plated and pressed; it is housed in a special anti-static inner sleeve and comes in heavy-duty protective packaging (gatefold sleeve). A two page booklet about Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab is also part of the package.
The release is distributed by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab under license from Sony BMG Music Entertainment, Inc.
Markings on sleeve: In the lower left corner of the back cover is a box denoting this release as being a special limited edition; each edition is numbered in gold numbers.
