All the songs on this album were written by Gary Brooker and Keith Reid (Gary – Music, Gary – Words). Gary Brooker played the piano and sang the songs. Barry Wilson played the drums and provided percussion. Alan Cartwright played the bass. Mick Grabham played electric guitars and Chris Copping played the organ. This album was recorded dungeon no.2 at AIR London Studios. The recording engineer was John "Pally" Punter who was propped by Chris "the grouts" Micbie.
The front cover was painted by Jacob Bogdani (1670-1724) and was reproduced by kind permission of Roy Miles Fine Paintings, London.
